Today is Navratri Sthapana Day—beginning with Ghatasthapana, the nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshipped for nine days. This festival is not merely a religious ritual, but also a celebration of our cultural values, self-discipline, and community harmony.
Mythological and Religious Significance
On the first day of Navratri, Kalash Sthapana (Ghatasthapana) is performed—a water-filled Kalash is placed on a Kalash filled with mango leaves and a coconut, invoking Goddess Shakti. This Kalash symbolizes creation, prosperity, and energy.
- Nine Days – Nine Forms: Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri, Siddhidatri.
- Spiritual Journey: The gradual practice of Tamas-Raj-Satva—moving towards self-purification, awareness, and compassion.
- Message of Victory: The story of the killing of Mahishasura teaches us that evil is defeated through patience, wisdom, and unity; The tenth day, Vijayadashami, celebrates this victory.
Socio-cultural message
- Women's Respect and Empowerment: Worshiping the feminine power as a goddess—the ideal of strength, compassion, leadership, and wisdom.
- Human Values: Practice restraint, sacrifice, service, cooperation, and tolerance.
- Environmental Sensitivity: Nature-friendly decorations, minimal use of plastic, and promotion of local/biodegradable materials.
The Vision of “Shristi Mitra”
Shristi Mitra is a newly established non-profit initiative committed to the conservation of nature, animals, birds, and human values. We are currently in the initial stages and, with limited resources, are making our way through small steps of thought, dialogue, and awareness.
Navratri is a time of inspiration for us—to make values like strength, compassion, service and coexistence the center of our work and thinking; to connect people; and to believe that even small steps can bring about big change. As cooperation and strength grow, we will move forward to transform these values into concrete, practical initiatives.

आज नवरात्र स्थापना दिवस है—घटस्थापना से आरंभ होकर नौ दिनों तक देवी दुर्गा के नौ स्वरूपों की आराधना की जाती है। यह पर्व केवल धार्मिक अनुष्ठान भर नहीं, बल्कि हमारे सांस्कृतिक मूल्यों, आत्म-अनुशासन और सामुदायिक सौहार्द का उत्सव भी है।
पुराणिक एवं धार्मिक महत्व
नवरात्र के प्रथम दिन कलश स्थापना (घटस्थापना) की जाती है—जलभरे कलश पर आम के पत्ते और नारियल स्थापित कर देवी शक्ति का आवाहन किया जाता है। यह कलश सृष्टि, समृद्धि और ऊर्जस्विता का प्रतीक है।
- नौ दिन – नौ रूप: शैलपुत्री, ब्रह्मचारिणी, चन्द्रघंटा, कूष्माण्डा, स्कन्दमाता, कात्यायनी, कालरात्रि, महागौरी, सिद्धिदात्री।
- आध्यात्मिक यात्रा: तम–रज–सत्त की क्रमिक साधना—आत्म-शुद्धि, जागरूकता और करुणा की ओर अग्रसर होना।
- विजय का संदेश: महिषासुर वध की कथा हमें सिखाती है कि धैर्य, विवेक और एकता से बुराइयाँ परास्त होती हैं; दसवें दिन विजयादशमी इसी विजय का उत्सव है।
सामाजिक–सांस्कृतिक संदेश
- नारी सम्मान व सशक्तिकरण: देवी के रूप में स्त्री शक्ति का वंदन—शक्ति, करुणा, नेतृत्व और ज्ञान के आदर्श।
- मानवीय मूल्य: संयम, त्याग, सेवा, सहयोग और सहिष्णुता का अभ्यास।
- पर्यावरण संवेदना: प्रकृति-अनुकूल सजावट, प्लास्टिक का न्यूनतम उपयोग, स्थानीय/जैव-विघट्य सामग्री को बढ़ावा।
“सृष्टि मित्रा” का दृष्टिकोण
सृष्टि मित्रा एक नवस्थापित गैर-लाभकारी पहल है, जो प्रकृति, पशु–पक्षी और मानवीय संवेदनाओं के संरक्षण की दिशा में संकल्पबद्ध है। वर्तमान में हम प्रारंभिक चरण में हैं और सीमित संसाधनों के साथ विचार, संवाद और जागरूकता के छोटे–छोटे कदमों से अपनी राह बना रहे हैं।
नवरात्र हमारे लिए प्रेरणा का काल है—शक्ति, करुणा, सेवा और सह-अस्तित्व जैसे मूल्यों को अपने कार्य–विचार का केंद्र बनाना; लोगों को जोड़ना; और यह भरोसा रखना कि छोटे कदम भी बड़ा परिवर्तन ला सकते हैं। जैसे–जैसे सहयोग और सामर्थ्य बढ़ेगा, हम इन्हीं मूल्यों को ठोस, धरातलीय पहलों में रूपांतरित करने की दिशा में आगे बढ़ेंगे।
संदेश एवं प्रेरणा
नवरात्र केवल नौ दिनों का पर्व नहीं, बल्कि आत्म–संयम, नारी सम्मान और सामाजिक न्याय की सतत साधना है। इस पावन अवसर पर सृष्टि मित्रा अपना संकल्प दोहराती है—माँ दुर्गा की कृपा से संवेदनशील, सहयोगी और प्रकृति–अनुकूल समाज के निर्माण की दिशा में निरंतर अग्रसर रहेंगे।
